Big Changes

School

Big changes are happening around here. Life is certainly about to get more interesting! After 3 and a half years we are officially saying goodbye to California and moving to.... BYU Icon Thats right! We are going back to school. And by we, I mean Jake. We are so excited to take this next step and have Jake get his MBA. This is going to be our first time living in Provo and we are so excited! With family and old friends living close by it is guaranteed to be a good time! So if you see a place to rent think of us ;) While we looking forward to the big changes, it is definitely bittersweet. We have had so much fun in California. We have loved being close to Jake's family and a couple of my family members. We have met so many amazing people out here that it will be sad to say goodbye. But I know that there are adventures waiting for us in this next chapter of our life. Now I have to take a minute and just brag about my husband. Jacob.Honsvick.Print.003 He is just simply amazing. He has worked so hard to get here and pulled many long hours. But throughout it all, he has made sure to keep our family his number one priority. I am just so proud of him and so grateful to have him as my husband. So here to two years of craziness ahead of us. There is no place else I would rather be.

School Thankful Work

Today I am so grateful for my education. It was always a dream of mine to attain a bachelors degree, and I am so glad that I did. THough I am not working a full time job right now, I can see how the lessons that I learn help me everyday. I have so many dreams and goals to further and use my education once my kids are in school.
One day I might...

  • Open a Preschool
  • Open a little kids dance studio
  • Become a child life specialist
  •  Work in children hospitals
Who knows. I just love to dream! All I know is that I can do anything that I put my mind to. Right now I am just love mainly being stay at home mom with my little girl. And I would not have it any other way!

Emma Husband School Thankful

I absolutely love books. I love all different types of books. Pretty much if a book can keep me so hooked that I don't want to put it down, I love it. I love to read to myself and to anyone around me. (Mainly Jake and Emma cause they are stuck to me :) How grateful I am for my eyesight that I am able to enjoy these simplest of things. It is hard to imagine what it would be like if I could not see. I would no longer see Emma's smile, or Jake looking at me, or my mountains, or the sky... there are so many things that I would miss. When I was attending BYU-Idaho I took a class where we each had to spend one day with our vision impaired. We had to go around with these masks on that greatly limited our ability to see. It became extremely difficult to read my text books during class, to see where I was going, or to even see who was standing right next to me. Because of this experience I have really grown to appreciate being able to see the beauty around me. I now appreciate even more the ability to read to my little miss Emma.

Adventures Husband Life School

Grad School has been quiet a busy adventure for my husband. It has been filled with a lot of long hours and a lot of studying. And random fact about me, I hate going to bed without Jake. So what is a girl to do when it is past midnight and her husband is still hard at work? Why make hot chocolate of course!

It is amazing what a little chocolate can do to help the studying along :)

Life as I know it.

DIY Pregnancy School

So this past month has actually gone by pretty fast. For a couple of weeks I went on a crafting craze. I was constantly working on one project or another for our little girl. So far I have made a lamp, a mobile, and a huge wooden sign. It is crazy to see how productive you can be when you actually have time to spare. Now I am just working on making sure that I have everything ready for when our little one comes. Now if only we can decide on a name for her :) oh well we still have nine weeks. Yikes! can you believe it, I only have nine more weeks left to go. Nine months really does go by so fast, next thing I know she will be here! Life is truly good. Here are a couple of pictures of the lamp and mobile. I haven't yet taken a picture of the wooden sign yet. I can't wait to finally decorate my little girls room...

Oh and for some more exciting news, Jake has been accepted to two Grad schools already. We are officially accepted into UC Davis and UC Santa Barbara. Now we are waiting to hear back form a few more schools before we make our final decision. It is just so exciting to know that he has been accepted. It is actually pretty funny how often we check his email just hoping that another email has come in. Soon we will know exactly what we are going to do for school. Only a few more weeks of uncertainty.
