This past summer we were able to go and visit my family in Idaho. While we were there Jake took family pictures for my sister Sarah. To say that she was a little obsessed with her pants is a understatement. Haha She was walking around saying RED PANTS!!!
And I have to admit, her "RED PANTS!!!" were pretty awesome.
So when I was digging through Emma's closet today I was super excited to find a pair of red pants. Even better news, they fit! Now Emma can walk around saying RED PANTS!!! Best day ever!

We took Emma to try something new... it was of course Jamba Juice. A couple of weeks ago we were visiting Ben, Lonie and their family. While there they came up with the idea to go and get a smoothie. Emma's cousins where of course pretty excited and Emma was too as soon as she tried some of the goodness. It made Miss Emma a believer in Jamba Juice. Silly me thought that I could share my drink with this munchkin. Hahaha that was a funny idea. My little Girl drank up the juice so fast! Luckily for me she allowed me to sneak a few sips.
She is such a silly little Duck. We had such a blast visiting Jake's Brother and his family. It was so cute watching Emma play with her two little cousins. One of the nights that we were there they took us to go and see a concert of a violinist and pianist. The best part was that is was outside. The weather was perfect for cuddling under a blanket as we watched the performance. Emma was so enthralled with the music that she didn't move a muscle except to clap and dance a little. My sister-in-law even made us all popcorn and treats to eat while there. She is simply the best! It was the perfect evening to spend with our family.
I can't wait to get together with our family again and have more fun. What do you like to do with your family?
Its long overdue, but I am finally getting around to writing about Miss Emma's birthday. It was a day full of family, food, laughter, and of course cake. I have to admit I couldn't wait to see Emma eat her cake and get frosting everywhere. It was the craziest, busiest, but best birthday that we could ask for. So many family members came out to celebrate Emma's big day. We started the day off by exploring the Farmers Market and getting the last few items needed for the party. We then came home and got the food out and everything ready to go.
Then it was the dreaded waiting game. I hate waiting. So what to do while waiting. Why crochet, be silly, and in Emma's case give you the puppy dog eyes. Seriously how do you say No to that little face.
But soon enough family started showing up, and kept showing up until our home was completely packed with people. If I counted right there was about 17 people in our tiny living room. Its a good thing we all love each other. Its not very often that both sides of our family has a chance to meet together. It was perfect having so many people who love Emma there with us.
The rest of the party was full of eating, opening presents, laughing, and of course eating cake. It was so fun watching Emma with her other cousins.
I love that messy face. I think the cake was a success! And can I say that I am super proud of that cake. First time making a fondant cake whoo hoo.
The whole party was super fun.
After the party broke up, we ended the day by going to the park with my parents and grandparents.
It was the perfect celebration for the cutest little girl. I am so glad that so many family members traveled so far to celebrate with us. Now to start planning her next birthday... (just kidding ;) )
